How Ather financing works

Ather sells through finance partners rather than card EMI. The loan covers the on-road price — ex-showroom after offers and subsidies, plus insurance and registration — and optionally the AtherStack Pro software pack. Each lender finances a fixed share of that price: 7 cover 100%, so the down payment can be ₹0, while others ask you to pay the rest upfront.

Choosing a lender

The lowest listed rate, 3.99% from Hero FinCorp, comes with tenures of at most 10 months and a 40% down payment, so the monthly instalment is high. For a lower EMI, a 48–60 month loan from a lender that finances 100% usually works out cheaper per month, at the cost of more total interest.

Frequently Asked Questions about Ather electric scooter EMI

How is the EMI for an Ather scooter calculated?

EMI = P × r × (1 + r)^n ÷ ((1 + r)^n − 1), where P is the on-road price minus your down payment, r is the lender's annual rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100 and n is the tenure in months. Ather's own calculator uses this reducing-balance formula, and so does ours.

What is the lowest EMI for an Ather scooter?

In Bengaluru, with ₹43,000 down, the lowest Ather EMI is ₹1,277/month on the Ather Konarc S (100 km), the cheapest variant at ₹1,07,515 on-road.

Can I buy an Ather with zero down payment?

Yes. ev.fin, IDFC First Bank, L&T Finance, Axis Bank, Jana Small Finance Bank, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finance finance up to 100% of the on-road price, subject to approval. HDFC Bank finances up to 95% and Hero FinCorp up to 60%.
